Textiles Gallery
Textiles is offered at both AS and A2 at Caterham. The exam sits within the Art and Design framework offered by Edexcel. Students can follow either a Design or Fine Art based approach, or study all aspects. Students are initially introduced to a range of media, processes and techniques in order to build up a ‘textiles language’. They then go on to produce exciting and strongly individual pieces of work. Trips and visits take place to exhibitions, galleries and artists’ studios. Occasional workshops occur through the two years, some run by visiting textiles artists or designers.
